There is something about photographing women that has always felt deeply personal to me. A photograph is never really just about how we look. It is about who we are at a particular moment in our lives. It holds our story, our experiences, the things we have overcome, and everything that has shaped us along the way.
As women, we move through so many different seasons of life. We grow, we change, and we become so many things to so many people. Life moves quickly, and somewhere along the way, it becomes easy to lose sight of ourselves. Sometimes we simply need the space to pause, reflect, and reconnect.
I understand this intimately because I have lived it too. There is something powerful about stepping out of the pace of everyday life and taking in where you are. This is not about going back to who you used to be or looking ahead to who you might become. It is about recognizing the person you are today.
This is what I want to capture when someone steps in front of my camera. I want to see the strength, softness, confidence, vulnerability, joy, wisdom, and individuality that is uniquely yours. I want you to recognize yourself in your photographs, but I also want the experience to reveal something you may have lost sight of or simply have not taken the time to see.
We so often tell ourselves that we will take the photographs later. When we feel more confident. When life becomes less hectic. When the timing feels right. But this version of you deserves to be seen and celebrated now.
Portraiture is personal to me because every photograph becomes a record of a moment that will never come again. When you step in front of my camera, you are trusting me with a piece of your story, and I do not take that lightly. My hope is that you walk away with more than beautiful photographs. I hope you leave seeing yourself a little differently and appreciate how far you have come, recognizing what is already there, and perhaps discovering something about yourself you had not noticed before.
